Avril Carey

“Hello, I’m Avril Carey, the Principal of Beaumont Hospital School. We have developed this section of our website to help teachers and staff in mainstream and special schools support their students who return to school following Acquired Brain Injury. While there is an abundance of information available on the web, it can be time consuming sourcing materials and not all aspects apply to the child in your class. With this in mind, we have collected the knowledge and experience of  teachers and students from our hospital, to give you some information which might ease the transition for these students on their return to school. We also suggest some classroom strategies our school staff have found helpful and may be of use in your classroom”.
